Leaving the sprinkler on for an hour once a week will give your lawn a good soaking rather than just wetting the surface. Also try not to over-fertilize your lawn, because while more fertilizer encourages rapid grass growth, you are likely to end up with a lawn that is weaker and more vulnerable to insects and disease.
